FINANCE AND ERP

A payment beyond authorised limits

Scenario

An accounts payable agent receives a €25,000 invoice and prepares the payment in the ERP system.

Without control

Access to the ERP system may be enough to make an unauthorised payment. A hidden instruction in an invoice could also attempt to redirect the money to another account.

With Adaptive Runtime

  • Routine payments to established suppliers can proceed automatically.
  • Payments above defined limits, or inconsistent with ERP records, require approval or are rejected; higher-risk payments may require two approvers.
  • A record is kept of who requested the payment, who authorised it and which rules were applied.

Rules and thresholds are tailored to the organisation’s systems and policies during the assessment.
